Movember moustaches power Suns to first ever win

In a month in which they were growing facial hair to support the Prostate Cancer charity, Sheffield Suns collected their first ever SBL win with a 77-52 victory over Storm.
Suns were led by 22 points from Daniel Saul, who leads Division 2 in scoring at 23 points per game, and no-one from Storm could muster more than 12 points.

Fellow newcomers Retford Raiders have had a month to remember, going unbeaten in 3 games to move into second place in Division 2 before losing to Storm on December 1. They downed MLS Sharks (65-49), Hillsborough (53-47), Foulstone Flyers (65-48) and are currently 4-2 on the season.

They still trail unbeaten Worksop in the Division 2 standings as Steve Lawes' team continue their strong start to the season. Worksop will face a tough December as they face games against MLS Sharks and their new addition Tim Lewis and then the top of the table clash with Retford.

In Division 1 Loxley remain unbeaten at 6-0 on the season, but they only just escaped with an 80-76 win over Rotherham Hawks as 41 points combined from Damien Ashby and Mike Payne outduelled 40 points combined from Pawel Szafraniec and Marius Rutavicius.

There was a notable night on November 9th as two players topped the 40 point mark in back-to-back games. G-Corp's Joseph Baugh (formerly of Sheffield Sharks and currently of Derbyshire Arrows) scored 43 points to lead his team to a 78-66 win over South Yorkshire Police and Tenacious D's Thomas Tolisius poured in 41 points, but couldn't prevent his team from going down 88-82 to Rotherham Hawks.

December promises some interesting match-ups with Worksop's two tough games and also the brother versus sister grudge match of Jamie Loftus and Sheffield Suns taking on Kate Loftus and Foulstone Flyers.
