Titans and Nook set for big clash

The Division 1 title race looks to be between Team Nook 1 and Titans after both team remained unbeaten through November and ended the month with statement vitories against Loxley and G-Corp respectively.

Both teams won by more than 30 points against the perennial contenders, setting up a mouth watering clash between the pair on December 13 to decide which of them remains unbeaten.

Sheffield Hallam University remain unbeaten at the top of Division 2, but they were made to battle all the way this month with a 72-66 victory over USB Spartans 1 being followed by a 56-53 win against Goole Barrels.

Hallam are now without a game until the end of December, so the next time they take the court their win total might be under threat from the teams behind them.

The Division 3 title would appear to be Sheffield Storm 1's to lose after another three victories in the month took them to 8-0.

They are limiting their opponents to less than 40 points per game so far on the season, so any team wanting to displace them will need to find a way to get the ball in the basket.

The Division 4 race looks like potentially the most interesting of the season with five of the seven teams currently having between 1 and 3 losses.

Sheffield Medics are currently top of the pile with a 4-1 record, including important victories against the teams in second and third.

It looked like USB Spartans 2 could be their strongest challengers after Spartans won the game between the pair 60-54, but since then Spartans have suffered a heavy loss to Sheffield Storm 2 - who themselves are in the race, but recently lost to Sheffield Starz 2.

The race is unlikely to be any clearer by Xmas as there is a truncated slate of games in December.

The pick of the fixtures is the top of the table clash in Division 1, but there are also important fixtures in the middle-to-lower parts of Divisions 2 and 3 as teams look to move clear of the foot of their respective tables.
